Before the holidays: the schedule knows each German state's public holidays
In AIO Hub a rule decides what runs on public holidays. Nobody has to rearrange playlists the day before.
Kapaso solution: AIO Hub is made by the publisher of this magazine.

In the weeks around the turn of the year, the days on which a shop keeps different hours pile up. For screens this is a recurring source of error: the playlist follows the day of the week, the shop follows the calendar. So on a public holiday the lunch offer runs in the window although the door is shut.
AIO Hub, the digital signage software made by Kapaso, takes public holidays into account in the schedule. According to the manufacturer it knows the public holidays of every German federal state and follows a rule set by the operator, for example: show opening hours on public holidays.
For branch networks spread across several states this is the key point, since public holidays differ from one state to the next. A playlist assigned to a whole group of branches therefore needs no special version per site.
The other time slots stay as they are. They are drawn in a calendar view: the breakfast menu in the morning, lunch at midday, the promotion in the evening.
Before the holidays a quick look at the schedule is worthwhile. Is a holiday rule in place? And does it show what customers want to know on a day the shop is closed, namely when it opens again?
