Logistics and warehousing
In logistics and warehousing, screens show staff orders, key figures, dock assignments and safety notices directly in the hall or at the loading bay.
They hang above workstations, at loading doors and in break rooms.
A screen at the loading bay shows which lorry is at which door and what is being loaded. In the hall, teams see picking progress, open orders and faults. In the break room, shift plans, company news and occupational safety notices are shown. The data comes from the warehouse management or merchandise management system.
Halls are large, dusty and sometimes cold, and cold stores are very cold. Screens must be suitable for this and protected against being struck by forklifts. If a screen shows performance figures for teams or individuals, the works council may have a say. Safety information must not get lost among key figures and does not replace mandatory signage. Who maintains the screens and who is responsible for the data should be settled before the start.
