Hotel lobby

In a hotel lobby, screens inform guests about the hotel's offers, events, directions and services in the area.

They hang at reception, by the lifts and in waiting areas. Totems with the day's programme or directions often complete the picture.

The screens show opening hours of the restaurant, bar, spa and gym, breakfast times, the weather, public transport departures, excursion tips and the way to meeting rooms. Welcome messages for groups or conference guests are common. Many hotels show content in several languages, depending on their guests.

The lobby is the hotel's calling card. Content should look calm and inform guests rather than overwhelm them with advertising. Prices for services must be correct and follow the rules on price indication. Names of individual guests do not belong on public screens. In the evening, brightness should match the lighting of the room. Content should follow the season, the time of day and the hotel's occupancy.
