LED poster
An LED poster is a free-standing LED screen in the format of a poster stand that stands on its own base in a room or shop window.
It is narrow, upright and often mobile on castors. Player and power supply are usually built in.
LED posters replace printed stands at shop entrances, in shopping centres, at trade fairs and at events. Because they emit their own light, they remain clearly visible in bright surroundings and behind shop windows. Many models can be placed side by side and joined into a larger surface. Content reaches the device over the network, via Wi-Fi or by USB stick.
The pixel pitch determines the distance from which the picture looks good. Up close, with coarser pitches the individual points of light are visible, which is distracting with text. The devices are heavy and need a secure footing, especially where many people walk past. Operators should set brightness and operating hours to suit the location and make sure that remote management also works with mobile devices.
